Fall a perfect time for Fall Reading {Ultimate Christian Living Book Bundle Sale}

https://us154.isrefer.com/go/cbundle/a2830/

I have to say that Fall Reading is far from me as a Spa day some weeks!  But I know that as a mom of a very energetic 4 year old, that I do need some time to reboot and glean from the Bible or a good book that just gets me grounded back into Him.  This year as my daughter seemed to only exponentially grow in wit, speech, and boundless energy--I have felt my nerves on more than one occasion hit their breaking point.  And my time for gaining strength from the Bible or a good book is ever more desperate!

I have to admit family are the ones that see every fault and ugliness that the public eye never sees.  Oh I am so thankful that even though I lose my temper and start yelling from the bottom of my lungs, that there is forgiveness for me.  I close my eyes and I feel the shame of having my child's eyes grow big from the bellowing.  I take a sigh and feel like the world is caving in.  How did we get into this rowdy mess?  How did doing an art project or playing with my kid become irritating and frustrating?  What happened to me being fun?  I hate being stressed, yet here I stand in front of my family, stressed.  Stressed over an excessive usage of glue.

Art Project  that turned out great inspite of WAY too much glue!

But God is good.  Grace and Forgiveness are right there.  After taking pride and selfishness down, I kneel down at eye level and ask forgiveness from my daughter whose eyes are uncertain from the "bellowing" mother I was a few minutes ago.  Children are so quick to forgive and love.  Praise God!  My husband though I know I do push his limits, is so gracious to forgive and always love me even in those dark moments where I feel like I am at my tipping point.  I am so blessed by these two being in my life!

I feel that this year as I examine my own life of marriage and parenthood, I can see a gradual upward trend towards me "losing my cool".  I want to change from that, and I am glad that I am not alone in this!  How do I know this?  Well...not only from my friends who are mothers too, but the fact that there are books written regarding this.  And that is why I am excited about the round of books that are in this Ultimate Christian Living Bundle that has some really great books that appeal to me as a mother and wife.

Did you see it? Can you pinpoint some the books that have my interest?

You got it!  Even-Tempered Mother, From Grouchy to Great, and yes a third, the Unwired Mom.  These are just a few books that I have been eye balling on Amazon, yet here they are!

I feel like this Ultimate Bundle of books has such a great combination of such great titles that will be perfect fall reading books to inspire, encourage, and refuel us as mothers.  There are great gems in this bundle.  I love that it is tailored for Christians as it includes books that concerns Reaching the Lost, Married Life, Devotionals, and much more. . .

Another favorite of mine in this bundle is the Children's books included in this set.  There are books that can make it easy for a mom to tune into a specific topic for teaching.  I also love the Holiday books for Christmas and Thanksgiving!

This is just the tip of the iceberg.  In calculating certain books that I like in this bundle alone I find myself saving a lot more money than if I were to just buy individually from Amazon.  I hope to pass on the savings onto you. Browse the titles and find what would be your Fall and Winter Reads this year there are so many wonderful authors and books included.

When you are done browsing be sure to take advantage of the sale and don't forget to grab it as it ends November 10th!

Who among us doesn’t want to lead a life worth emulating?

With great kids, a loving marriage, a successful career or business and a closer, faith-filled walk with the Lord. But for many of us, making that a reality is big challenge!
Balancing life’s priorities can seem a bit overwhelming at times. The pressures of work, the need for finances, the demands of parenting and the resulting strain on marriage can leave us weathered, weary and wondering what really works in life?
That’s where the Ultimate Christian Living Bundle comes in. Ultimate-Bundles.com called in some best selling authors, leading experts and top business professionals to address the most common challenges faced by families and individuals today – all from a solid, Biblical foundation.

For the family…

The bundle contains 10 wonderful books focused on incredibly inventive ways you can craft the marriage you signed on for. To complement that subject, they added 8 more books focused on parenting and passing on your faith to your kids. That wouldn’t be complete without books just for kids so they also included 8 children’s books that parents can read with their children. To close out the content for family life, the highly praised Singing Bible MP3 version was added (a $25 value all by itself). It actually teaches children the story of the Bible not just random stories.

For your professional life…

You will find John Muratori and Michael Pink’s six -hour Christian Wealth Building course ($77 value) which was complemented with Bob Lotich’s 31-day devotional Managing Money God’s Way. There are a total of 14 business related books and courses including Zig Ziglar’s powerful Born To Win course (that Seth Godin and Dave Ramsey rave about), Dr. James B. Richards, Wired For Success – Programmed For Failure and Untold Secrets for Creating Wealth by Brig Hart and John Beehner. You’ll even find one of the best selling Christian business books of all time, The Bible Incorporated – In Your Life, Job & Business.

To ignite your faith…

Rounding out the package, Bridge Logos and Moody Press made a series of classic Christian literature available from generals of the faith like Charles Spurgeon, D.L. Moody, A.W. Pink, E.M. Bounds, Calvin, Wesley, Edwards and more who wrote about grace, prayer, faith and an overcoming life.
In addition to these wonderful classics, the Ultimate Bundles team snagged 12 heart-stirring devotionals from authors like A.W. Tozer and Nancy Leigh DeMoss that speak to matters of faith that are sure to inspire. Let’s not forget Gary Chapman’s Extraordinary Grace or Ray Comfort’s Way of the Master for sharing your faith with others. Both heartbreaking and inspiring, don’t miss Philip Cameron’s, They Call Me Dad, the story of one man’s fight to save orphans from human trafficking.
So as you can see, the Ultimate Christian Living Bundle is an extraordinary value.

But it still gets better…

The Ultimate Bundles team asked several sponsors to step up to the plate and with no strings attached, provide meaningful BONUS GIFTS. One of the first to step up was Dayspring Greeting Cards who offered a choice of heart-warming gift card packages to choose from. Another, is a downloadable DVD workout series for getting in shape and maintaining health. With a retail value of $62.99 it includes a Biblical study guide for stewarding your health. Bonus gifts alone have a total retail value of over $160

So now you know…

                      Jesus is Greater than Religion {Book Review}

I did receive a free copy of this book for the sole purpose to write a review. This did not affect my thoughts on the book or influence a more positive review.

                      My Review:
Author Jefferson does a great job in addressing common problems and issues in matters of religion. He is down to earth, real, and shamefully honest. I say shamefully because, I am convicted myself of some of the thought patterns and actions that are wrong that he confronts in this book. I love that he is fearless and unafraid in his writing. Jesus > Religions puts the focus back upon Jesus, and dismisses the religiosity and "good enough" ideal held by many. As Jesus had done so long ago, Bethke, overturns religion and rules and points back to the basics, back to God. What I enjoy about this book is that he writes through his own experiences. He writes in a manner that is understandable and relatable to a wide audience.

What caught me in this book, was how he was in college writing this. He shares with us the struggles of those he comes across in the dorms. As a floor leader/dorm counselor kids come to him for advice, help, and more. Fueled by words like "tried religion but it didn't work for me" he is moved to write this book and change the mindset of so many--that Jesus is Greater than Religion.

I would recommend this book specifically for those who are struggling with a work first kind of faith, hurt by "religion, christianity, church groups", and as a thermometer for checking if their faith is alive or dead. It woke me up and reminded me and be wary of what I see alot in the church and in myself.

                      Hands up, a must read.
                      Description from Publisher:
Abandon dead, dry, rule-keeping and embrace the promise of being truly known and deeply loved.
Jefferson Bethke burst into the cultural conversation in 2012 with a passionate, provocative poem titled “Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus.” The 4-minute video literally became an overnight sensation, with 7 million YouTube views in its first 48 hours (and 23+ million in a year). The message blew up on social-media, triggering an avalanche of responses running the gamut from encouraged to enraged.
In Jesus > Religion, Bethke unpacks similar contrasts that he drew in the poem—highlighting the difference between teeth gritting and grace, law and love, performance and peace, despair and hope. With refreshing candor he delves into the motivation behind his message, beginning with the unvarnished tale of his own plunge from the pinnacle of a works-based, fake-smile existence that sapped his strength and led him down a path of destructive behavior.
Bethke is quick to acknowledge that he’s not a pastor or theologian, but simply a regular, twenty-something who cried out for a life greater than the one for which he had settled. Along his journey, Bethke discovered the real Jesus, who beckoned him beyond the props of false religion.

Also Here's a Video by Bethke I thought you might enjoy! Watch the whole thing :)

Tales of the Defended Ones: These stories may change the way you see the world!

Have you ever felt overwhelmed about the great need around the world?  Specifically burdened by the poverty and the needs of children?  I know I have, and truthfully I have felt overwhelmed that I feel like what little I do hits that big great cloud and bounces right back at me.  A drop in a huge bottomless bucket.  So what do I end up doing?  Nothing.  I felt powerless and unable to help those that need help!  If you have felt that way or are feeling that way...this book is one that is for you.  It provides a different perspective that will help one understand how to help and see the great need!

This book by Beth Guckenberger has impacted my life and have changed my "drop in the bucket" feeling.  Focusing on the "Storyweaver" our Great God, Beth tells of the stories of those that God has defended--these orphaned kids, abused kids, mistreated and how He the Defender Defended them and was present with them.  This book shows how he has worked in men and woman's lives to unite them with these kids who needed help.  It truly redirects my thinking and sees that it is not me but God who can provide for them--and I just need to be a ready tool in his hands whether it is praying, providing food, shelter, monetary needs...etc.  God is not overburdened by the great need.

Interestingly enough this book was written to be read for children in mind.  For young adults this is a great way for them to be involved in the ministry of helping others.  There were parts in the book that addressed the reader saying, "Will you pray for kids being adopted right now?  God knows their names and wants to involve you in their stories through prayer."  It was refreshing because it showed how WE as the reader can help right then and there through prayer!

Tales of the Defended ones are five stories about kids who have gone through real tough life experiences--Experiences ranging from being sold into the sex slave industry, to being orphaned, and to being in a family  struggling with drug abuse.  They are real experiences, but all written in a way which is appropriate for young adults.  Nothing in it was "too much" at all.  I think kids who are old enough to understand will find this book stirring, encouraging, and eye opening.  I found myself crying in both sadness and then in joyfulness of how our Defender God had weaved the lives of individuals for his purposes and rescued and defended the kids.

I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars!  I highly recommend this book.
